The Board of Directors presents our vision for the campus. The changes and improvements identified reveal our current master plans. As Sound Christian Academy develops, we envision our future as a premier regional private Christian school serving thousands of students and families for generations to come.
1 – Sale of south property (formerly a dorm for Washington Baptist College of Biblical Education) adjacent to S. 68th Avenue estimated 2022
2A – Renovation of the “A” Building (off S. 64th) to become an Early Learning & Day Care Center estimated 2023 (projected based on proceeds from the sale of the south property)
2B – Re purposing of the field to become a premier training facility for football, soccer and track & field estimated 2023 (projected based on proceeds from the sale of the south property)
3A – Replacement of the “G” Building and building new math, science and technology center with administrative offices estimated 2025 (projected based on proceeds from the $5M Master’s Plan Capital Campaign)
3B – Repurposing of the current HS building to house biblical studies, humanities and the arts – visual and performing estimated 2025 (projected based on proceeds from the $5M Master’s Plan Capital Campaign)
Sound Christian Academy (SCA), is a private Christian multi-denominational K-12 school serving South Tacoma, WA for over 60 years. Established in 1960 as Tacoma Baptist Schools and transformed in 2021, SCA provides quality, affordable, Biblically-based education in a grace-filled, nurturing environment.
