Arts

Combining academic disciplines with performance and worship arts experiences

Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Worship Arts

The arts are an essential part of our school. We have developed K-12 education tracks of arts-related core curriculum and electives. These include traditional art classes, music instruction, theater, speech, interrelated literature, poetry, and creative writing.

These education tracks complement opportunities to express creative gifts in choral groups, band, theater, speech, graphic arts, photography, painting, sculpture, pottery making, and the worship team.

In addition to fine and performing arts, we offer students several tracks in digital arts and technology. In today’s world, art and technology go hand in hand. Students have the opportunity to be trained in digital photography, graphic design, interactive media, and other disciplines. These can be expressed in student-developed publications, yearbooks, and other community endeavors.

The arts offer pathways for all students to deepen their understanding of God, participate creatively in His beautiful, redemptive work, and to worship and glorify Him.

Each elementary student, grades Pre-K through 5th, participate in a weekly art class. Middle and High School students can participate in a wide variety of art classes ranging from pottery to painting.

Drama is offered to High School students as a year-long class, with the first semester focused on acting theory and the second one culminating in a large performance.

All students have access to music classes. Two concerts are performed each year – at Christmas and in the Spring.
