Sound Christian Academy, formerly Tacoma Baptist Schools, offers Pre-Kindergarten through 12th-grade Christian education to families throughout the South Sound. Our curriculum is Christ-centered, and all subject matter is designed to include Biblical integration.
The term academy helps define our academic model and differentiates us from public schools and other institutions in the private school consortium. It also reflects the biblical saturation students receive in curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities.
This spiritual formation represents our special or particular field along with the aspects of mental, emotional, social, and physical development.
In all grade levels, we integrate the Bible in learning and coursework.

Our high school and middle school were voted Best of South Sound Private Schools in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Our faculty-led MOTUS mentoring groups meet weekly in middle school and high school.
SCA offers top-notch coaches in fall, winter, and spring competitive sports. Students enjoy rich experiences that expand horizons and support spiritual development.

In our latest graduating class, 85% went on to college.
