Members of the inaugural SCA golf program to kick off tournament
We will have a special foursome made up of players from the SCA boys and girls golf teams. This group will be the first to tee off and will compete in the tournament, though they will not be eligible for prizes (being ringers and all).
Soon-to-be ninth grader Makenna Kelpman will headline the foursome. Kelpman won the Sea-Tac League title, finished second at the district tournament and third at the state tournament as an eighth grader this spring.
She will be joined by recently graduated Brayden Anderson, junior Michael Kessel and sophomore Kellen Weedon. All three advanced to the state tournament, leading the Lions to ninth place as a team in the first year of the school’s golf program.
Register today for the annual Sound Christian Academy Golf Classic on Friday, Aug. 12 at Oakbrook Golf Club in Lakewood.
Not only will you get to enjoy a beautiful day on the course, but you will have a chance at winning lots of great prizes including dinner at some of the best restaurants in the South Sound.
Registration is open and can be accessed here.
